Camping on Brittany’s Coast: Granite, Tides and Islands
Pink granite near Perros-Guirec, tidal access at Carantec and ferries from Quiberon: three campsites on different stretches of Brittany’s coast.

In this article
Brittany’s coast offers three different outings: pink granite along the GR34 near Perros-Guirec, a tide-dependent walk to Île Callot at Carantec, and ferry trips from Quiberon to the islands. These places lie far apart, so plan them as separate stops and choose each campsite for the stretch of coast you want to explore.
Perros-Guirec: Le Ranolien and the coastal path
Le Ranolien sits near Perros-Guirec in the protected coastal setting of the Côte de Granit Rose. Its operator offers pitches and mobile homes by the sea. From Trestraou, the GR34’s Sentier des Douaniers follows the shore towards Ploumanac’h, where rounded pink-granite rocks shape the route. Mean Ruz stands on one of the headlands. Built from local stone, the lighthouse belongs to the same landscape and makes a natural landmark to look for as the path reaches Ploumanac’h.
