Camping in the Dolomites: three valleys, three bases
Seiser Alm, Lake Toblach or Val di Fassa? Three campsites offer very different starting points for Dolomites outings.

In this article
In the Dolomites, each valley points to a different set of outings: Seiser Alm and Schlern from Völs, Lake Toblach and the High Puster Valley from Toblach, and Buffaure and Val di Fassa from Pozza. The three campsites sit in different valleys, so choose your base around the trips you most want to make.
Völs am Schlern: Seiser Alm and trails around Schlern
Camping Seiser Alm is in Völs am Schlern, at the foot of the high plateau. The operator lists several comfort-pitch categories for caravans and motorhomes. The tourism region also lists apartments, lodges and Forest Tents. Capacity is often limited, especially during holidays and weekends, so it advises checking availability before arrival. It says motorhomes should arrive only with a confirmed booking. Völs is a good base if the Seiser Alm and Schlern are the focus of your stay.
