Campsite or motorhome pitch: which place fits your trip?
Compare two Berlin sites to see how vehicle access, facilities and stay length can differ between a campsite and a motorhome pitch.

In this article
A site name offers a clue, but it does not tell the whole story. Krossinsee accepts motorhomes, caravans and tents, while Marina Wendenschloß has pitches for motorhomes and caravans. The contrast helps you compare vehicle rules, facilities and the kind of stay you have planned.
The name is only a starting point
A motorhome is driven, while a caravan is towed by a car. The German Tourism Association uses “motorhome pitch” for an overnight place designed for these vehicles. Its Basic, Standard and Premium labels describe differences in location and facilities, but do not set a minimum standard. A site’s name alone cannot tell you whether caravans or tents are welcome, or what services are on offer.
