The Meetjesland bivouac zone network in East Flanders, Belgium, offers five legal free-stay camping areas in a green forest belt between Assenede and Knesselare. Initiated by the Meetjesman and Regional Youth Service Meetjesland together with the Agency for Nature & Forests, Pro Natura, and local authorities, these sites provide a simple overnight infrastructure with water pumps and eco-toilets.
