The Richard Wagner Festival Theatre, also known as the Bayreuth Festival Theatre, is a festival theatre located on the Green Hill in Bayreuth. Built between 1872 and 1875 by Otto Brückwald according to Richard Wagner's designs in the style of Hellenistic Romanticism, it differs from many opera houses by having no permanent ensemble.
