The Bauhaus building in Dessau is the former school building of the State Bauhaus, designed in 1925 by Walter Gropius and constructed from 1925 to 1926 for the Bauhaus previously located in Weimar, as well as for the Arts and Crafts School Dessau. It is considered groundbreaking for the development of modern architecture and remains one of the most famous examples of interwar modern architecture.
