The Zwinger is a magnificent baroque palace complex in Dresden, Germany, built between 1711 and 1728 as an orangery and festival site for Augustus II the Strong. Designed by architect Matthäus Daniel Pöppelmann, it represents one of the finest examples of European baroque architecture.
