The National Museum in Gdańsk (MNG) is one of Poland's oldest museums and the largest cultural institution in the Pomerania region. Founded on May 30, 1948, it is housed in the buildings of a former Franciscan monastery and continues the traditions of the former City Museum (Stadtmuseum) and the Art Crafts Museum (Kunstgewerbemuseum).
