Rynek Główny is the main market square of Kraków, located in the Stare Miasto (Old Town) district. Established in 1257 when the city was founded on Magdeburg law, it covers approximately 4 hectares and measures roughly 200 by 200 metres, making it one of the largest medieval market squares in Europe.
