The Kaiservilla in Bad Ischl is a historic imperial summer residence situated at the foot of the Jainzenberg in Upper Austria's Salzkammergut region. Originally built in 1834 as a Biedermeier-style villa by Vienna notary Josef August Eltz, the property was purchased in 1850 by physician Eduard Mastalier and subsequently gifted to Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi) as a wedding present by Archduke Sophie.
