The Tour Eiffel, also known as the Dame de Fer, is the famous wrought-iron observation tower in Paris designed by Gustave Eiffel and built between 1887 and 1889 for the Exposition Universelle. Standing in the 7th arrondissement at the north-western end of the Champ-de-Mars, near the Seine, the tower rises to 330 metres including its antennas and is owned by the City of Paris.
