Dam is the central square of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Located roughly 750 metres south of Centraal Station, it stretches about 200 metres east to west and about 100 metres north to south, connecting the streets Damrak and Rokin and serving as a meeting point for several major shopping and historic streets such as Nieuwendijk, Kalverstraat, Warmoesstraat, Nes and Damstraat.
