The Rietveld Schröderhuis in Utrecht is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a landmark of De Stijl architecture, designed in 1924 by Gerrit Rietveld together with Truus Schröder. It was inhabited until 1985 and remains an icon of modern design in the city, with its flowing transitions between inside and outside, strict horizontal and vertical lines, and use of primary colours alongside white, grey and black.
