De Wallen is Amsterdam's oldest and best-known red-light district, situated in the historic center of the city in the Burgwallen Oude Zijde neighborhood. The roughly 250 × 250 meter area is bounded by the Lange Niezel and Korte Niezel to the north, the Zeedijk and Nieuwmarkt to the east, the Koestraat and Sint Jansstraat to the south, and the Warmoesstraat to the west.
