Leidseplein is a well-known square in the centre of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, named after the former Leidsepoort city gate. Lying in the continuation of the Leidsestraat and crossing the Leidsebrug over the Singelgracht, it forms a busy hub where the Marnixstraat and Leidsekade meet.
