La Giralda is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. Its lower section is the late 12th-century Almohad minaret of the city's former great mosque, built as a square-based prism flanked by four outer walls with internal ramps wide enough to ride on horseback.
