The Centro de Arqueología Experimental (CAREX) is part of the Fundación Atapuerca, the non-profit organization dedicated to researching and disseminating human evolution findings from the Sierra de Atapuerca sites. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Ibeas de Juarros, Burgos, Spain, the foundation oversees guided visits to the archaeological sites and to CAREX.
