The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos is a historic fortress and former royal palace in Córdoba, Spain, located on the banks of the Guadalquivir River. Originally built in the 13th century and completed in 1328, it served as residence for Castilian monarchs until 1492, after which it became the seat of the Spanish Inquisition.
